Yes. Every new account starts with a free trial that includes credits, allowing you to test your first Virtual AI employee in a real workflow before committing to a plan.

Which plan is right for me?

Starter is ideal if you want to use one or two Virtual AI Employees for clearly defined tasks like inbox triage or document generation. Business is suitable for teams employing multiple employees across departments who need a higher credit volume and priority support. Enterprise is designed for companies that require dedicated onboarding, custom integrations, and a tailored credit package. Not sure? Can I change or cancel my plan at any time?

Absolutely. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. There are no long-term contracts or hidden cancellation fees.

What are credits and how do they work?

Credits are the currency your Virtual AI employees consume when executing tasks. For every action—whether it’s answering a customer inquiry, processing a document, or updating a CRM record—a certain number of credits is consumed based on complexity. You choose a credit tier that fits your workload, and you can upgrade at any time if your needs grow.

What is the difference between annual and monthly billing?

By billing annually, you save around 11% compared to paying monthly. With both options, you have full access to all features of your chosen tier. You can switch between billing cycles when your current period ends.

Is my data secure?

Yes. SCALAN is hosted in the EU and is fully GDPR compliant. Your data is never used to train third-party models. All communication is encrypted in transit and at rest. We will never share or sell your data under any circumstances.

What happens if I run out of credits?

Your Virtual AI employees will pause until you top up your credits, your credits renew in the next billing cycle, or you upgrade to a higher tier. You will receive a notification well before your credits run out, allowing you to plan ahead. No work is lost, and the employees will pick up exactly where they left off as soon as credits are available again.

How do virtual AI employees differ from chatbots or basic automation?
