Scalan is a no-code platform that lets everyone build and run Virtual AI Employees. A Virtual AI Employee is a persistent, company-trained AI agent with its own name, its own email address, its own presence in Microsoft Teams, and a growing understanding of the business it works in. It is not a chat tool that someone opens. It is a colleague that the team gives tasks to.

What makes Scalan different is how these AI Employees come into being. The business user describes, in their own words, what the AI Employee should do, the same way they would brief a new human hire. Scalan turns that description into a full agentic workflow with multiple steps, tool calls, and decision logic. No node editor, no scripting, no consultant required.

Once deployed, the Virtual AI Employee handles operational work such as invoicing, HR administration, document processing, and other back-office tasks. It does not just execute predefined steps. It reasons within context, decides when to act, when to ask for clarification, and when to flag something that does not add up. For any action with financial, legal, or external-facing consequences, the AI Employee routes a draft to a human for approval before anything goes out.

Scalan targets primarily small-medium businesses in the DACH region, where operational complexity is high but dedicated IT resources are scarce. The platform is built and hosted in Germany by MTC Solutions GmbH in Munich, with DSGVO-compliant infrastructure as standard.
